Pediatric Research Competition

Background
 
Indonesian Pediatric Society (IPS) vision is to enable research and development excellence in Indonesia in order to achieve an evidence based health care, and promoting Indonesian research internationally.
 
In collaboration with PT. Novell Pharmaceutical Laboratories, IPS is now working on promoting research, advance knowledge and education of Indonesian Pediatrician by providing funding opportunities for original, competitively-selected research and development with emphasis in recent Indonesian child health problems.
 
Goal
To encourage all Indonesian Pediatrician to utilize their learning skills to initiate knowledge production and creativity as well as problem solving, especially regarding recent Indonesian child health care.
 
To ensure participants receive consideration in the competition, please review the following eligibility and participation requirements:
 
Evaluation and awards eligibility
  1. Any Indonesian pediatrician and pediatric residency program (mentor from IPS member should be included) are eligible to participate, if meet the requirements below:
    a.
    Have never received research grant from the Indonesian Pediatric Society (IPS)
    b.
    Not currently doing research funded by the IPS
    c.
    Previously received research fund by the IPS and already published their research paper in a well-accredited scientific medical journal
  2. Participants will be requested to present their research design and guidelines in brief (5 minutes) presentation during the judging session and will be ask for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Research should be able to be completed during 1 year period, and presented in the ASPR (Asian Society of Pediatric Research) 2019 in Manado
 
Research field needed
This year competition will be limited on 3 subjects below:
  1. Stunting
  2. Immunization
  3. Vitamin and micronutrients
Multidiscipline researches are preferable, however single discipline will also be accepted.
 
Research grants
A maximum of 10 research will be accepted for the research awards.
Each winning participant will receive an award in the amount of Rp. 40.000.000,- .
 
Key dates
June 5th - August 1st:Written proposals submitted to secretariat@apcp2018.org
August 1st – 15th:A maximum of 20 researches will be selected for presentation. Selected participants will receive email and called by the committee for presentation preparation
August 27th:Research presentation in research competition session
September 30th:Winner announcement
